GRITNOX

Help center

Understand the record before you act on it.

Practical guidance for searching the catalog, interpreting evidence, comparing offers and using the procurement workflow without overstating what the demo proves.

Workflow guidanceDemo-safe

Find a part

Start with an exact part number, supplier SKU, manufacturer reference or equipment model.

Read fitment evidence

Understand verified, supplier-claimed, unverified and rejected compatibility states.

Build a sourcing list

Capture parts and quantities locally before creating a reviewable request for quotation.

Resolve a problem

Use the troubleshooting guide for empty results, unavailable offers or API failures.

02 · Qualification

Reading a part record

A part page separates what the catalog knows about the component from what a supplier is currently offering. Read those sections independently.

Canonical identity

Manufacturer, primary reference, alternate identifiers and category describe the component record.

Structured specifications

Typed values preserve units and value types. Free text is not presented as a validated specification.

Equipment fitment

Relationship type, evidence status, reference and review context explain why an equipment model appears.

Supplier offers

Condition, price, currency, MOQ, stock, lead time, warranty and confirmation freshness remain offer-specific.

03 · Evidence

Compatibility evidence states

Evidence labels answer a narrow question: what supports the relationship recorded in this demo? They do not certify the physical part, the supplier or the operating outcome.

StateWhat it meansWhat it does not prove
VerifiedThe relationship has a recorded evidence reference and completed review context in this demo.Manufacturer endorsement, authenticity or suitability for every operating condition.
Supplier claimedA supplier has asserted the relationship; the claim remains attributed rather than promoted.Independent confirmation or a guarantee of interchangeability.
UnverifiedA possible relationship is visible for investigation without review evidence. That the part fits, is safe or is equivalent.
RejectedA relationship was reviewed and rejected in the demo record. That every variant of either reference is incompatible.

Sourcing lists and RFQs

  1. 01

Add parts to the sourcing list

Use the part card or record page. The list is browser-local and captures the parts you intend to investigate.
  2. 02

    Set quantities and review lines

Edit quantities in the RFQ workspace. Duplicate lines are validated before submission.
  3. 03

    Provide buyer and delivery context

The request records contact, organization, delivery location, timing and technical notes.
  4. 04

    Submit and retain the reference

A persisted demo request returns a generated reference. No supplier is contacted and no order is created.

RFQ is not checkout

A sourcing list and RFQ are pre-purchase inquiry tools. Checkout is a separate commerce flow and should not be confused with a supplier quotation.

05 · Access

Accounts and supplier onboarding

The public Gritnox catalog and RFQ intake do not require an account. Buyers can create an account to use cart, checkout, order, support and profile features. Seller access starts with a verified-email application and administrator review.

  • Sign in, verify your email and use Become a seller to submit a seller application.
  • Seller approval and storefront release are separate administrator-controlled decisions.
  • Dashboard authorization is enforced by the API, not only by client-side route protection.
  • Do not enter real payment credentials or confidential procurement documents into demo flows.
  • No certification, partnership, live inventory or fulfillment commitment is represented by the demo supplier records.

Troubleshooting

Why does a search return no results?
Try a shorter identifier, remove punctuation variants, search by manufacturer or browse the equipment directory. The demo catalog contains a bounded set of illustrative records, so a real-world part may not exist in it. If the catalog itself does not load, the demo service may be temporarily offline; retry shortly or review the implementation notes in documentation.
Does a verified fitment mean a manufacturer endorses the part?
No. In Gritnox, the status describes the evidence recorded for a fitment relationship. It is not a manufacturer authorization, warranty statement or guarantee that a part will perform in every operating condition. Review the evidence reference and operating context before use.
Why are offers not ranked by a single price?
Offers can differ by currency, condition, minimum order quantity, stock freshness, lead time and warranty. Converting mixed currencies or hiding those differences would create a misleading comparison. Gritnox keeps supplier-specific commercial fields visible.
What happens when I submit an RFQ?
The request is validated and stored with a generated reference. It does not contact a supplier, create an order or establish a commercial commitment. Review the confirmation screen and the demo notice before treating the reference as operational evidence.
Where is my sourcing list stored?
The sourcing list is stored in this browser using local storage. It is not synchronized to an account and will not follow you to another browser or device. Clearing site data removes it.
Can I access a seller or administrator workspace?
A buyer can register, verify an email address and apply for seller access from the account workspace. Seller workspaces are available only after administrator review. Administrator operations are restricted to administrator accounts. These are role-scoped product workflows, not proof that a live supplier network or transaction operation exists. See thetrust page for the scope.
