GRITNOX
Concept case studies

Engineering decisions, shown through the product.

These are not client claims or invented outcomes. Each study maps a concrete Gritnox workflow to the interface, server contract and validation status behind it.

Reading rule

Capability statements describe this repository. Illustrative catalog and transaction data is labelled. Operational deployment still depends on the validation gates in the project documentation.

Discovery architecture

Turn part identification into a reviewable evidence trail

Industrial buyers rarely start with a clean, canonical part name. The workflow begins with an identifier, equipment model or supplier reference and preserves how each result was reached.

The unsafe shortcut

A marketplace that ranks by descriptive similarity alone can make an unsafe compatibility claim look authoritative. The interface needs to separate catalog identity, fitment evidence and commercial offer data.

System decisions

Exact identifiers and equipment references rank ahead of broad prose matches.

Fitment records carry explicit status, relationship type and evidence context.

Supplier offers keep condition, currency, MOQ, stock and lead time separate from part identity.

Mixed currencies are shown separately instead of being reduced to a misleading lowest price.

Secure operations

Make role boundaries part of the server contract

Buyer, seller and administrator screens are not protected by hiding navigation. Every sensitive read and write is scoped by the authenticated session and enforced again in the API.

The unsafe shortcut

Marketplace dashboards often mix public catalog access with account data and administrative actions. A client-side route guard is not an authorization boundary.

System decisions

Authentication uses an HttpOnly session cookie rather than a browser-readable bearer token.

CSRF checks protect state-changing requests and session mutations rotate the session key.

Seller ownership, store release, order transitions and withdrawal review are validated server-side.

Analytics count settled order lines only and never combine different currencies into one revenue figure.

Session controls

HttpOnly cookie, CSRF token, lockout and session-version revocation

Authorization

Buyer, seller and administrator permissions across account and commerce endpoints

Operational dashboards

Persisted order, inventory, payout, support and marketplace metrics

Demonstrable workflow

Let reviewers move through the product instead of reading a claim

The demo workspace uses fixed, isolated accounts for each role. A reviewer can inspect a buyer purchase history, a seller operating view and the administrator control plane without receiving production credentials.

The unsafe shortcut

Static screenshots cannot show whether role boundaries, dashboards or workflows are connected. Shared demo passwords are difficult to control and easy to leak.

System decisions

Demo entry is disabled unless the server explicitly enables it.

The endpoint accepts only a role key and resolves it to a fixed server-configured account.

Demo users have unusable passwords; only the gated demo endpoint can create their sessions.

The seed is repeatable and reset is scoped to the configured demo identities.

Roles

Boundary

Evaluation path

Move from evidence to workflow

The most useful review sequence follows the product from discovery through role-scoped operations and then into the disclosed demo.

Case-study language is limited to implemented behavior and explicitly labelled demonstration data. No client outcome, revenue result, certification or commercial partnership is asserted.
